About: Bremer Bonbon Manufaktur was founded 9,9,2009 by Sabine Marquardt, as the first successor of Amalia Erikson in Germany, exactly 150 years later than Amalia Eriksson started to make Polkagris in Gränna. Sabine has learned how to make Polkagris in Gränna at Polkapojkarna in 2008. Today she is leading a team of 12 people, producing and selling candies the whole year round. Both the shop and the bakery of Bremer Bonbon Manufaktur are located right in the middle of the historic town of Bremen, in the world famous ”Böttcherstrasse”.

Trivia: Among the five sugar bakers of Bremer Bonbon Manufaktur, Annika is known as the most professional one, she has also been working at Bremer Bonbon since the start up in 2009. She was educated as a chef for three years and additional three years as a confectioner (pastry cook). She finished her education as the best in the district. Then she was taught by Sabine Marquardt how to make original polkagris. Annika came second in the Candy Championships 2011 and is the only one from a foreign country that has participated in Candy Championships so far.
