Den Småländska Kolonin

Den Småländska Kolonin

Company: Den Småländska Kolonin

In business since: 2009

Location: Jönköping, Sweden

World Championship titles: Possibly 2013

About: In one of Jönköping’s most historical buildings you’ll find Den Småländska kolonin, which is a restaurant and bar that stand out as a restaurant in a traditional Swedish family house painted in classic dark red with white gables. The house was built in the 1850’s (in the same area as Amalia Eriksson started to make polkagrisar) in the heart of Jönköping, and it’s one of few buildings left from the towns architecural start. Den Småländska Kolonin had really high expectations on them from the opening in 2009, since the well known and venerable restaurant ”Svarta Börsen” was the former restaurant in the building, only a few years after the opening they got many rewards and nowadays their known for being the best restaurant in Jönköping county. Den Småländska Kolonin is a small colony with a big heart and passion for genuine good food and beverage. Our seasoning is personality, devotion and persistence.
